LoL @ Zexion...
He is quite right, took me a few minutes to think about it too, when i first got that quest. To be less cryptic to the OP, he means all you have to do is stand by a flamingo and type /shoo then chase them out of the field. Quite a creative quest isnt it?
(Btw, being less cryptic was NOT to imply anyone is dumb, i just wanna be of more help, since i am actually the one that would not have understood Zexion's hint if i did not already know the quest solution. Meaning: yes, i'm the dumb one, LOL!!)
cheers!

Yeah, I must admit, it took me a while as well to figure that one out
I'd imagined it would be like the one with the Prize Hog in Kryta, where you simply had to stand behind it, and it would run away from you. Then I saw the journal log had "shoo" highlighted in green, and then the solution was clear to me.
But hey, didn't want to hand him the solution on a silver platter

I got it, I kept shooing the flamingos, but they kept coming back and my quest location icon kept changing positions. Couldn't finish it

Flamingo-ing is Hella Frustrating
OK, I'm not understanding the rules of this quest. It appears that there are roughly 11 flamingos, once you clear out the area of enemies. BTW, by "area", I'm assuming that means the field that has the rez shrine to the west, a ridge line where Kanyama sits to the North, a large hill with two exit points to the Northeast and due East, and then the Sea to the south. There is a large rock in the middle of the field.
Anyway, I've shood birds around the field, but not understanding the point of the green mission flashes. Do they indicate where you need to shoo the birds to, or do they indicate that particular part of the field is clear of birds? I've noted inconsistencies in both cases, thus leading to my frustration. I've seen on Guildwiki that there are 4 areas you are supposed shoo the birds to, but to say "4 points are simultaneously clear" is not "clear" to me... can someone shed some light on this?

Green star = remove flamingos from that area, all areas must be clear for quest to complete.
Tip #1: Kill ALL monsters then start shooing (only need to refresh emote every 4 minutes or so).
Tip #2: Shoo (some of) the birds into the "tunnel" that is on one side of the map, that way they wont run back into the field.
Tip #3: Shoo birds into the grean areas around the dirt/swamp, green counts as "out of field".

K, I just completed the quest. The aha! moment came when I started to get all the birds into that "tunnel" to the east of the field. Thanks!
